Returning ESA renewal form was created by flo1
Hello,
I have the ESA form (re-assessment) and the date when it must be returned before. If I return it, say, 2 weeks earlier than the date, will they look at it earlier or still not look at it until after the given date please? Hope that makes sense. (My daughter is going away soon and I'm panicking about getting it done before she goes away and it would be better if it could be completed and posted off before she does). Thank you for any replies.

I'm afraid there are delays in the ESA assessment process, your form will go into a queue and will only be looked at when it reaches the top of the pile, this could be weeks or months or even longer.

Thanks Mrs Hurtyback (and thank you Gordon) for taking the time, I appreciate it. My worry was that, as my daughter is going away and therefore means I would have had to try to rush my form and get it posted earlier, that there was a horrible chance of it being seen earlier (while she was away) - and that sent me into a panic. I just wanted to know if anyone could assure me the form wouldn't be looked at any earlier than the due date (which would have been 2 weeks earlier that the date it was due in). Complicated, I know. As it turns out I'm in pieces and can't fill it in earlier and its not something that can be rushed. So will do it slowly and post it just a couple of days before (by which time my daughter will be back). It was just a massive shock and panic ensued.Hope all that makes sense??
