PIP REFUSED!! PLEASE HELP!!! was created by AllisonMB
Dear Sarah,
Only income ESA which has 2 deductions at source for a Budgeting Loan taken out to help with moving expenses and repayment of an over payment whilst I was in Assisted Living - weekly income £111.65

Transition from DLA to PIP started 02-03-17
PIP decision letter scoring ZERO POINTS received 08-07-17
Mandatory Reconsideration requested 10-07-17
Letter saying original decision upheld sent 10-07-17!
DLA stopped 01-08-17
Appeal paperwork (including 45 page document - able to provide if needed - identifying errors and ommissions in face to face assessment report point by point) sent 02-08-17
Appeal paperwork sent by Courts and Tribunals service to DWP 08-08-17 DWP have 28 days to submit their rebuttal to Courts and Tribunals service)
Appeal paperwork uploaded to DWP system 15-08-17
DWP decide more information required - task I ISA (formerly Atos) to contact GP 29-08-17
Mix up at GP says I'm no longer their patient - I'm not informed of this)
I ring IAS to chase - advised by call handler "I've not seen anything like this before, can't understand why they didn't contact GP before face to face assessment". Asked for another request be sent to GP - can't be done as IAS have returned case to DWP 13-09-17
Ring DWP - ask for Case Manager to contact me - he says IAS waiting for new GP contact details (they didn't mention it when I spoke to them immediately before calling DWP) 13-09-17
Rang DWP - told they have asked IAS to re-request info from GP 14-09-17
Ring GP, explain situation, surgery secretary asks if request can be faxed as not yet received 2nd request - give her information needed to contact IAS - they tell her case closed with them and I have to go back to DWP 14-09-17
Ring Courts and Tribunals service - DWP have not asked for extension to allow large submission - will be passed to judge next week who will request reminder sent to DWP giving a further 14 days to submit their rebuttal 14-09-17
Ring DWP who tell me IAS added notes to my file saying GP had not provided info (this is response to first request) so had sent case back to DWP 18-09-17.
DWP advise me to contact old GP and check they're still willing to complete form (was with them for 17yrs, had regular appointment / telephone appointment with same Dr every other week for many years until week before I moved here) - they are 18-09-17
DWP raise task for IAS to request for 2nd time info from old GP and to mark FAO Kayleigh (person I've been dealing with at GP) - preferably by fax 18-09-17
Rang GP - nothing received 21-09-17
Rang IAS - request posted (?1st class) 21-09-17
GP secretary advise request from IAS received 22-09-17
Rang GP 03-10-17 - secretary says report being worked on (should be completed by 06-10-17) GP finance team will then submit claim for fee due to IAS, once payment has been credited they will send completed report to DWP

The only reason we have got this far is because I have regularly and repeatedly rung and chased DWP and IAS.

I am now in arrears for rent and utilities. I am reliant on my Advocate, to prepare and cook meals for my freezer AT HER OWN EXPENSE as I cannot afford to feed myself adequately.

I am at breaking point. My mental health has seriously declined. If it wasn't for my carer coming every day I would just stay in bed. I don't know how long it will be before my carer stops coming - the deal was that they would claim Carer's Allowance for looking after me which they can't do until I am awarded the Care Component of PIP.

I CAN'T COPE ANY MORE

Allison

I have moved your post to it's topic as it's not really a reply to Sarah's post.

Are you claiming ESA?

Although you appear to have gone through the assessment report in great detail, have you also gone through your PIP2 to make sure that you have shown that you meet the criteria for an award?

According to your post the DWP had until 28 September to provide their submission, are they still outstanding to do this and have the TS made any decision on proceeding with the hearing?

Gordon

Dear Gordon,
Yes, support group, income based ESA - they have decided to start review process with that after PIP HCA report gave zero points. Letter giving WCA date arrived today though had to return new ESA claim firm by 02-08-17.
I had help completing PIP2 form and we used your guide.
GP returned his report requested by Atos Friday 06-10-17
Letter Saturday 07-10-17 from Tribunals service saying DWP requested extension for PIP appeal submission 28-09-17. Extension until 16:00 01-11-17
Sending formal complaint about HCA report to Atos this week. Should I send complaint to DWP to

Hi Allison,

Well, if you complain to DWP they won't be able to say that they were not informed of problems with the assessment process!
