Universal credit

No ESA claimants are being transferred to UC and New ESA at the moment (see below) and won't be for at least a couple of years and likely more.

The only exception to this is if the claimant needs to make a claim for UC for other reasons, for example moving from Local Authority to another will necessitate a new claim for Housing Benefit and therefore a claim for UC if the new LA is a fully live UC area.
