Been waiting for the outcome of PIP Assessment since at home face to face visit. Got a letter today not from DWP but from Motability saying they had been informed that did not receive enhanced mobility component so car to be returned by 26th December. It is just an absolute disgrace that third parties have found this out before Me! No idea what else I have lost until DWP letter arrives, was higher rate DLA for care and motability lifetime award. To find out such devastating and life changing news and be left feeling even more anxious is just cruel. Anybody else had this happen to them?

I'm afraid this happens frequently, Motability are notified electronically and the claimant by second class mail.

Just a quick update, rang DWP this morning and was told decision letter dated 29th September and that it could take up to 10 days to arrive. This will cut on half the time I will have to request a Mandatory Reconsideration and to get a copy of the face to face report won't It? Does anyone know which organisation I could approach in the York area to get some help doing this. Just moved over here so sure what there is on offer.

Do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.

I received my pip outcome letter this week, when I spotted the brown envelope in the post I opened my other letters first, one of which was a letter from Motabiliy advising me that I did not get enhanced rate for mobility. At least I had my DWP letter in the same post with full details of my pip assessment even if I had tried to ignore it! Like you I would have been very upset if the motability letter was the way I had heard the news giving you an incomplete picture.

Good luck with your Mandatory Reconsideration.
