Hi, I was awarded PIP enhanced rate for care and mobility in 2015 and have just been sent a review form ,although a year left on award.
Please could you advise on the current guidance re. aids and adaptations?
I feel completely confused re. this esp. regarding are points awarded if decided an aid would help or do you get no points if it is considered an aid would help? I'm worried points will just be removed.
It is current DWP policy to start the reassessment process a full year before the award is due to end.
Points are still awarded for needing aids, this is explained in detail in the PIP guides.
Don't forget that this should be treated in the same way as the initial claim. Don't assume that DWP or the assessors have any prior knowledge of you or your claim history.
If you have further questions during the reassessment process, please reply to this message and we will do our best to help
