My PIP is due to end in Jan. Just received a renewal letter but there's no indication of when I must request the forms by in order to start the dreaded process again.
Last time I had my F2F just before Xmas and the fallout from that pretty much trashed Xmas for me.
If I delay requesting the forms till Dec, to reduce the likelihood of an F2F before Xmas, what could be the disadvantages of this? I don't relish an F2F this side of Xmas and would like more time to psychologically prepare myself.
If I do this, the chances are that my current PIP will end before the DWP make their decision. If I'm awarded PIP again, will it be backdated so I don't miss out financially?
Also does the renewal form have the same or similar questions as the initial claim form?

The longer that you leave it the more likely that you will have a period, after your current award ends, with no payments. If you are happy for this to happen then leave it, but if not then I would recommend that you apply now.
