I have my appeal for pip next week. I got 0 points from F toF , The assosssor stated i can do everything. I dont have any physcho report, only a supporting letter from my counsellor. Still waiting for doctor to reply. I am getting support from an agency, but i have only seen him once. My friend say she will come with me. I have a daughter should she come with me instead. She does help me with shopping and cooking etc. should she write me a letter to say what she does for me. I am told that I should talk about the day of my assessment and how i felt. The assessor did not give me time to explain. I do speak good English and maybe she takes that to mean i am capable. I look young for my age. and look ill, But i am. I am trying to keep positive, but as they days go by i am feeling more nervous. I don't have any new evidence, it just seems strange with all my illness and i got 0 points, I have my by pass 5 years ago. I was able to go out more being independence with my car, but now i struggle. my income is only my pension. I am suffering. Is there anyone who have been through similar situations. Please advise. I was on DLA high and medium rate.

Your submission and evidence needs to be with the Tribunal Service no later than seven days before the hearing or you risk it being excluded or the hearing adjourned to a later date.

Who you should take really depends on whether you want them to provide any testimony at your appeal.

PIP had very specific criteria that you need to meet, so go through our PIP Claim guide to make sure that you have shown this in your PIP2 or the documents that you are submitting as part of your appeal. Remember you must be able to complete the activities reliably and on the majority of days.

I saw my rep today and was informed they cannot come with me. They said they grave the right not to go with me. I am deverstated and numb. Told I could take my daughter. I sensed that they don't think I have a good chance. I am still crying. I do suffer from depression seeing a counsellor for months. I don't know what to do confused.

The vast majority of claimants attend their appeal hearings without Representation so it's not something that you should be overly concerned about, however, if you really can't attend then you have the option of switching to a Paper appeal which you do not need to attend, just contact the Tribunal Service.

You might want to have a look at the following video produced by the Ministry of Justice, it's for an ESA appeal so there are some differences from PIP, but it will give you some idea of what goes on.
