PIP review form- additional support needs was created by Orangeblossom
Hi can i just try and clarify something I have seen in the DWP guide for doing this review? It says

"For claimants who already have an Additional Support (AS) marker (more information on Additional support is in the following section), if the AR1 form is returned the DWP CM will attempt to complete the award review."

If it says in the original report 'yes' to the person requiring additional support with future claims, does this mean the person will have an 'additional support marker'? and is the CM a decision maker? It seems as though in this case they may try and do the review at the initial stage, a bit like how they seem to with ESA but I'm unsure. Thanks

I think if you read the following section it will explain what this marker means.

Ok so it seems it applies to me, checked through paperwork and is mentioned at each stage. Even the stage before we had to appeal. And also that the condition should be there at next assessment.

Is it Ok to do a typed out sheet instead of the form detailing any changes etc there? Also there is something about them asking for 'supplementary advice' from a 'HP" I guess this means they can ask one of their assessors if they need more info on a condition? Mine are quite rare so might put some NHS info sheets in I suppose...

You can include your comments on separate sheets but you must complete the form and return it.

Just been reading about how ESA reports are being used to decide PIP- so I wonder if it will be helpful to include most recent ESA medical report- as it refers to PIP Appeal Decision too...It might be very helpful as cites previous reports for ESA, etc and long standing nature of conditions.
