ESA WCA New regime was created by melrose
Thank you for updates on this new WCA regime, I do have a question though as I am somewhat confused. I have what my doctor classes as 'severe fibromyalgia', Chronic Chrons' Disease, Oesteoporosis and arthritis. I was awarded ESA support group and was actually due for reassessment earlier in the year but nothing has happened. I also get high rate in both categories of DLA (not been reassessed for PIP yet). I understand from what was reported in your 'news' section that after 29 September 2017 those people placed in the support group will no longer face reassessment. As I have not been reassessed yet, does this mean I will be reassessed or is it that I will be unlikely to be reassessed. I am sure you understand that being under the threat of reassessment all the time is not only exhausting but very stressful and some clarification on my query would be very much appreciated. Many thanks.

First of all, the changes to ESA reassessments has no impact whatsoever on invitations to claim PIP, at some time you will receive a request to move over.

As to the ESA, the new guidelines do not come in to effect until the claimant has had a new assessment so you will definitely have at least one further assessment, whether this requires a face to face or it can be done on paper only will depend on the information available to Maximus when you claim is referred to them.
