Guidance specifically for ESA Re-assessment

Dear Team at B&W and Members,
I remember a while ago coming across a document or post on this website which specifically gave advice to those being Re-assessed for ESA. I remember, for example, one piece of advice stating that it is recommended to provide all reports and medical evidence, and not assume that the reports and evidence provided at the initial assessment will be available for the re-assessment. Another piece of advice was dealing with a statement such as 'my symptoms are as limiting as they were 2 years ago' or 'have worsened' etc.
Can anyone point to where this information really useful information is? I don't seem to find it in the ESA guides - perhaps I missed it.
Are the ESA guides valid for re-assessments or is there a modified version specifically for re-assessments?
Many thanks

Hi Christophe,

We always advise treating reassessments in the same way as the first claim. Don't assume that the assessor has any prior knowledge of you or your claim. Give comprehensive answers to each question and provide copies of all supporting documentation, even if you sent it in last time.

For this reason, the same guides can be used for primary claims and reassessments.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your ESA without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
