Pip review confused was created by Steven
Hi. I get high rates both parts of pip and was until sep 2018. But in Aug Got a review form. No change for all as it’s a no change disability in my spine. So tick all no change and added a doc note stating no more ops available as done all they can. So it’s just 30 pills a day for ever now.
My question is few things. One I called them on the 6th sep and they said they got the form and scanned it all in on the 4th sep. not heard anything until 10th Oct when get a text saiding thanks for sending in the how disability effects you form (even tho it was the review form). And not heard anything since. So one what’s it sound like is happening with this timeline of events?

And 2nd “if” get the award the same do they just carry on until the original end date of sep next year? Or do you get a new longer award date ie 3 years again? I ask this because the CAB site says this about reviews

It’s fine to tick ‘no change’ for every question if nothing’s changed since your last assessment. If you do this your PIP should continue as usual until either:

your award period ends and you need to make a new claim

So does that mean that if all award stayed the same I’ll have to re do the whole start process again and make a new claim each time it runs out?

Thank you I know you know the answers to help

Hi Steven,

These review forms are quite new and we still don't have a lot of information about how they are working (or not working)!

All forms go to assessors first, so that is why DWP sent the text a while after you were told the forms had arrived and been scanned.

As far as we know, the forms are in the same pile as first time applications, so they will take a similar length of time to be decided.

This decision will supersede the previous one and the duration of the new award will start on the date of this decision.
