ESA reassessment over & over again........

Dear All,
Well just scraped into the Support group again for 1 year. No F2F after the most horrendous cock-up. And they still didn't even bother to contact GP or counsellor.
But Many Thanks to B&W advice & additional evidence sent in by GP.

Torture since June.(and all of the previous 12months PIP/ESA).
I wish I could feel happier or even relieved about it: I just want to cut my throat. I simply can't carry on fighting this corrupt system anymore. More assessments=more money to Maximus. What a waste of money that should be supporting people to be more independent of NHS not needing more help/time/medication/nursing! If there is any-but its all been cut.

Anyway it can be done, but at great cost to health.I can't see myself recovering from this de-humanising shambles; its caused permanent harm.Euthanasia would be kinder than death by a thousand cuts.

ps you even have to get someone to phone up to find out how long 'award' is for? Why isn't this on decision letter. pants! Too scared to even comment to select committee, they want your details!
Sick of it.

Congratulations on the award, well done.

The reason that there is no reassessment date on the award letter is because ESA is not awarded for a specific period, it is an indefinite award with regular reassessment with the period being determined by the DWP.

Thanks Gordon,
Of course if they reassess PIP 12 months early that's not really a predictable 'prognosis' either especially if DWP can reassess whenever they feel like it.
DWP appear to be enjoying playing games with innocent people's lives. What happened to the legal right to be"innocent until proved guilty"? Human rights violations & lasting harm to sick & disabled people.
All that enormous effort & distress has only provided a stay of execution: no wonder I can't stop worrying about it.
It is possible to be in the support group after being dumped by in-patient/CMHT but not for long.

If you can show that you have been discharged because they CMHT are no longer able to help, either because of your conditions or funding then it should be possible for you to show that you continue to meet the criteria for the SG.
