PIP f2f assesment in 9 days was created by Leon G
New member to your excellent site, found it very informative but being a long term above knee amputee can't find any specific details to help with any of the descriptors especially the PIP mobility descriptors. I assumed there would be hundreds of amputees out there who would have posted their experiences on the members forum. Anybody got any help or advice please ?

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

If you are a single amputee then you will be assumed to be able to wear aids such as a prosthesis unless you can show that you cannot do this, your walking will then be determined by the distance that you can reliably walk on the majority of days with the aid.

If you are a double amputee then you should qualify for Descriptor (f) even if you can use prosthetics as the law requires a claimant to be able to place at least one biological foot on the ground.

See the PIP Claim guide for more information.
