I'm desperately looking for some advice. I have epilepsy, severe bi lateral hearing loss, osteoarthritis in various joints which is worsening and mental health issues. I've received a letter today that I've to go for a face to face assessment. I'm stressing out big style. Don't know how to cope with this. I'm terrified. Been taking palpitations all day at the thought of this assessment. Please can anyone offer me some advice and hope so that I can calm down and perhaps get some sleep. Xxx

Having an assessment is a standard and necessary part of the process.

You can take someone with you and even have them in the interview with you.

You don't mention the benefit, but both the ESA and PIP claim guides have a section that covers the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
