Have been given no points transferring from dla to pip sent in all letters from consultants letters that I have the home visit report that I got seemed to be good from the assessor but then the report had a list simular to the pip application near the end and the form questions answers didn't match what the assesor had written for example the assessor said I used a blister pack for my meds and then the manage of news section says I don't need any help yet the assessor said I used it to prevent overdosing as I sometimes have to check if i have took my meds take 10 pills a day am confused with the report

Are you saying that the report was at odds with what was said during the assessment or that the reasons stated by the Decision Maker was at odds with what was recorded in the report?

Picking up on the dosette box as an example, using one is not sufficient to score points, you need to show that you would not be able to manage your medication without the use of one.

I notice that you mention epilepsy, historically PIP has dealt with this condition differently from DLA. Under DLA you could receive an award for a general need for care rather than a specific one, PIP does not assess claimants for their care needs but rather looks at their ability to complete a range of day to day activities and specifically the need for supervision while they are done.

Up until recently, Decision Makers have only considered the risk to the claimant if they had an attack on the majority of days, an Upper Tier Tribunal Decision earlier in the year, ruled that this was incorrect and it should be the risk of an attack that should be considered.

I suggest you go back through the report, your PIP2 form and our PIP Claim guide to make sure that you have shown that you meet the criteria to score the points you need for an award.

The PIP Appeals guide explains how to request a Mandatory Reconsideration and the Submission guide has a template request that you can use. If you do request an MR then it needs to be with the DWP no later than one month from the date of the Decision Letter.

If you have more questions then reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
