I have a copy of my recent blue badge assessment.
I walked 80m (I thought it was 50m)
Took 2min 15sec
Short stride
Paused twice due to pain
Considerable shortness of breath.
Very slow, less than 40m per min.

1)I was going to tick the box that I can walk up to 50m. But as I walked 80m in this assessment can I? Even though I really pushed myself in the assessment for my blue badge?
2)is laying on the floor to put shoes on counted as an aid?
3)is a single hand rail in bathroom to hold onto counted as a sufficient aid?
4)more than 50% of the days I am housebound so is it ten points for that?
5) the days I can leave the house due to my anxiety and agoraphobia I need huge encouragment and help to do so.

Can anyone comment on the questions/statements above?
I'm really a fish out of water here.
Suffer from Anxiety, depression, type 1 diabetes, tinnitus, fibromyalgia and chronic pain.

I just had my form this Monday. So I am in the process of requesting supporting info from counsellors ive had, my gp surgery and consultant.

Thanks for any help, apologies if this doesn't make sense I have trouble making sure things make sense sorry.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

To answer your questions

1. You need to be able to walk the distance reliably and on the majority of days, so one example where you exceeded the 50m is not damming, these terms are explained in the PIP Claim guide.

I'm assuming that you will not be using the report as evidence.

2. I don't believe that you will be able to argue this.

3. It's not an aid unless you can show that you need to use it, so you need to explain how it either helps you using the toilet or with getting into or out of a standard bath or shower.

4. No, being housebound does not score points, being unable to leave the house due overwhelming psychological distress would.

5. You are assessing yourself as meeting Descriptor (b) of the Going Out activity.

I was actually going to use the report as evidence due to it being recorded that my pace was very slow, total time to walk the 80m was more than double the length of time a normal person would take. I needed to stop at around 40m for a break due to pain.

All those things I assumed would be good evidence to provide?

Sorry the housebound issue stems from my overwhelming anxiety and panic I suffer from, so is a direct result of anxiety.

I thought it would be B and E I would score under, so massive support for the days I can go out, but I get mentally shut down on more than 50% of the days which stops me leaving the house at all. I thought it was the majority of days and you got that descriptor?

I have a letter from my employer describing the impact of the issues I have.

It includes confirmation of 240 days sic in the last 12 months due to anxiety.

I was going to use that as a demonstration of being unable to leave the house for most of the time?

You need to decide about the report, I noted the walking time but it does state 80m, I think it more likely that those looking at it will focus on the latter rather than the former, but it is of course your decision to make.

Descriptor (e) uses the word "cannot" whilst the reliability criteria must still be applied I think you will need to show that you are restricted far more than the normal 50% of days to reasonably stand a chance of scoring the points for this.

Also be careful of using percentages; 51% is actually less than four days and you would not meet he criteria, try and stick to days a week or month, weeks or months a year.

I think I will put the report in as I had no choice but to walk back to my chair after he walked me 40m away.
I would not normally walk that distance at all due to the pain and breathlessness involved.
In the guide it mentions a normal amount of time, I'm confident that the report is laid out so it clearly states the time was more than double.
