I would be most grateful if you could please advise me if it is the same medical professional who considers the contents of a claimant’s application for PIP that actually undertakes the face-to-face medical and/or psychological assessment of that same claimant?
If I understand your question correctly, there is a central team that make the initial decision as to whether an assessment is required or not, if it is then the claimants file is passed to the "local" office for an assessment to be booked, the actual assessor does not get access to the file until the they are assigned to the interview.
