Hi peeps, I am awaiting my appeal date, and I'm wondering if they look at my whole award?. I am apealing the mobility component, the DWP have gave me standard for both components. So could they take away my care component or raise it to enhanced?. I don't know wether to write to them before hand pointing stuff out or just leave it till the day. My heads battered and it's caused me to lose hair through the worry and stress. TIA x

If you have requested they only look at the Mobility award then I would not expect them to review the Daily Living component although they may ask you on the day if you want it looked at as well.

The only exception to this will be if they have a concern that you current award is not justified by the evidence in front of them, although this is very rare, in this case the Judge will issue you a warning about the safety of your current award and should adjourn the hearing for you to get advice.

Your submission and evidence needs to be with the Tribunal Service no later than seven days before the hearing.
