my wife has today recieved a local service compliance interview letter to attend a local jobcentre. the heading says we are reviewing your benefits and circumstances. my wife who is now 65 and recieves her state pension plus a little pension credit guarantee for myself. they are asking for lots of information and my wife has to attend a interview, has anyone had one of these interviews? can i go with my wife? my wife is really upset, you think when you retire they would leave you alone
She may have been selected at random to make sure that she is receiving the right benefits or it is possible that she has been reported to the Fraud Line or that an anomaly with her Pension Credit claim has been flagged, this would be most likely to do with any income your household has.
Yes, you can attend with her.
Try contacting the JC+ advisor, they may be able to provide more information about what the interview is about.
