Hi I haven't used this before but am hoping someone can help me. I have been fortunate enough to receive PIP award Higher Living and standard mobility since 2013, Now on my latest review that was given to me 9 months early, I have been dropped to standard care and NO mobility. The meeting I had to go to was meant to be an informal chat and not like other meetings as it was just a review, but she has spun everything I have said out of context and added her own interpretations also. I find it very unfair and I feel I put in a good reconsideration notice using the notes on this website however today the dreaded brown envelope came saying it had been refused. I am also pretty sure it is the same assessor and I thought it had to be looked at by someone different? Now I have less than a month to get a case to tribunal. I am extremely stressed and scared. I suffer from Anxiety and Fibromyalgia as well as other ailments.

It would have been a second DWP Decision Maker who looed at your information for the MR, the assessor is not involved in this process.

The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a completed example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.

Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you might show this is the case.

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
