DLA to pip was created by Freddie45
Hi I've just received my award from DLA to pip my DLA was for life so with all my conditions that are only going to deteriorate and get worse I received enhanced on both components but was really surprised to see only a 3 year award. I really can't understand this at all, is this normal I know they don't give life awards out but what a waste of money when all the consultant letters and everything I sent said I will deteriorate what a waste of resources, I am so happy that I got the enhanced rate I don't think you can explain the pressure and worry this causes but still don't understand it, I have asked for a copy of the face to face assessment but not received this yet.

Congratulations on the award, well done.

I'm afraid it is not that unusual to see this sort of award length, it can be dependant on the conditions, for example the DWP will always consider the possibility of a joint replacement for Arthritis even if it not appropriate,. But as a general comment some their award lengths are bizarre.
