PIP in Northern Ireland and Scotland

Some members of our local assembly held out as long as possible against introducing PIP, eventually though they were forced to do so.

I was wondering though if PIP operates the same across the whole of the U.K. or are there variations in different regions e.g. has the Scottish Assembly, or the Northern Ireland Assembly, before it collapsed have been able to change how the benefit works in their region, or is it the same across all regions

If there are any regional difference can we pick them up on the site ?

Although there is separate legislation for N. Ireland to the that on the UK mainland, the Regulations and Descriptors are the same.

Where there is a difference is that in NI there is a compensation package for failed or reduced awards that can be given.
