Clarification on arrival and posting of PIP2 form

Hi
I am a little confused regarding information elsewhere about the PIP2 form not arriving in the post and the stopping of DLA.
I have recently rang to make a claim, Monday, following the invitation letter arriving the day before. I received a text the next day saying form sent, allow up to 7 days to receive the form.
What happens if the form does not get to me in 7 days, should I call them?
We are approaching a period of busy post with Christmas looming. I need to know how best to cover myself if the form does not arrive on time and if it does, will the DWP accept the completed form and additional documentation if sent by recorded / special delivery.
Thanks

Yes if you have not received the form within seven days of the date of the letter call the PIP Helpline.

Thanks, do you mean the letter date, asking to apply, or the date of the text notification, which states 7 days?

Can PIP2 forms be sent and accepted to the PIP office by registered post. I am not confident with the disparity in advice offered by customer service staff, from what I have read.
What is the best advice?
Thanks

Sorry I mean the text.

Yes you can send the PIP2 back by a Tracked post in fact we strongly recommend it.

Hi Gordon, still no PIP 2 form. I don't seem to get any clarification from the helpline.
Can you please advise, as best you can, what I need to do to prevent my DLA being stopped or having to start a whole new claim. DLA unit and PIP seem to operate in total isolation.
Really concerned about how to get this resolved, if the form does not arrive and the time limit is getting smaller to cut off date for DLA?

Thanks
