I have just got a letter today from Housing benefit saying it is suspended as I am no longer entitled to my ESA...letter dated the 6th December...I had some issues with my Occupational Pension which I have had from 1996 and was on Incapacity Benefit...I had phoned them and I missed my call back but they left a voice mail saying all was fine as my pension was 1996 but could I send in a copy of the pension for their records which I did..I have heard nothing from them just Housing Benefit...I am trying to get through to them..very worried...it this normal that you are not told by DWP that you are no longer getting anything..very confused..plus my call back was on the 6th to say all is well the same date as my housing benefit letter..any advice please would be welcome

My guess is that the DWP suspended payment of your ESA until the matter was resolved, this would have been notified to your Local Authority and has caused the suspension of your Housing Benefit.
First of all, contact your LA, they may re-instate your HB based on what you have now been told by the DWP, but if not ask to make a zero income claim for HB until they receive notification from the DWP that your ESA has been put back into payment.
I would also contact the DWP again to confirm that your ESA will be restarted and when.
