When to expect results? was created by Mrs G Case
Hello! I was sent forms to transfer from DLA to PIP and had a f2f home assessment on 24th October which seemed to be ok. I had a letter dated 7th Nov stating that they had all the information they needed and to wait for their decision. To date (11/12) I have heard nothing further and the stress is really affecting my health, as I'm sure many of you have also found! Wondering how long I should go on waiting before trying to get some news.I was told I notably about 4 weeks, but also that I cannot ask for the HP's report until I've had my decision.

In the midst of this, I was also sent forms to be reassessed for ESA! ! Sent those back and was given a f2f date for mid Nov, but had to phone for a different day and time as they couldn't guarantee a downstairs room. I was then sent a date for Fri 1st Dec but then I then received a phone call on Thurs 30th Nov to say the f2f had to be cancelled due to staff sickness and to wait for a new appt! Still waiting for that one too!
Seem to be spending my days feeling sick with nerves about what the post will bring and am wondering if I'm really being thoroughly checked out, or just caught up in a backlog of workload.....cannot begin to think about looking forward to Christmas time as I'm wondering if the DWP are going to ruin it for me!!
Would value any comments or advice please on how to deal with this awful waiting process. I did read that contacting my MP might speed a result...mine is Norman Lamb who I know is quite hot on health matters, so is that worth trying?
Thank you.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I would have expected you to have received a Decision by now so chase the DWP for an update,

There is no reason why you should not have been able to request the report once the assessment was done, so I would request a copy when you contact the DWP about your claim.
