ESA question was created by Lydz
Good afternoon,

I was wondering if anyone knows how long it roughly takes to hear back from Maximus as to whether you need to attend a face to face assessment?

My ESA50 was received by them on the 14th November 2017, which they reviewed and sent an Esa113 form to my GP on the 17th November.

When I spoke to Maximus today, they advised they received the Esa113 back on November 30th, however, they are yet to review it.

Does it normally take this long?

Kind regards,

Lydia

I would first chase your GP surgery, I'm afraid the majority of these forms are not returned by the GP!

If the form is returned and a Paper Based Review can be done then I would expect this to be done in the next couple of weeks and then a Decision would take another 2-4, although Xmas may add a couples of more weeks to this.

If a PBR cannot be done then it may be six months or more before you hear about an assessment, there are still considerable delays in this part of the process.

Hello Gordon,

Thank you very much for your response, much appreciated.

My GP surgery have returned the form, although they only answered the question about my disabilities which affect my capability to work!

Six months seem like a very long time, hoping it will be done sooner!

Kind regards,

Lydia

Hello,

I sent the Centre For Health and disability assessment services some very important medical evidence which was signed for at their Wolverhampton Office last Monday, however, when speaking to them on the phone they say they haven't received it as of yet.

Is it normal for the post to take so long to get to the correct department? Also, if it is lost, are there any other methods of sending them the evidence over?

Kind regards,

Lydia

Were you given the address by CHDA or did you use the one that you returned your ESA50 to?

Wolverhampton is a mail handling site for the DWP although some CHDA centres use it as well.

It often takes letters, etc. 7 to 10 days to get to their destination,

You should be able to ask CHDA for a direct address if they have not already provided one.

Hello Gordon,

I was given the address by CHDA directly when I emailed them.

I have a letter from the Wembley Office who are the one's who deal with medical information, is it worth sending the information again to that address?

Kind regards

Lydia
