ESA and UC was created by ##Paulie01
Hi moderators and members

I was placed into the support group at the end of 2013 without ever having a F2F.
It can only be a matter of time now before I’ll be reassessed and I’ve heard that UC has been rolled out in areas around where I live.
I must admit that I’m very confused by the whole ESA/UC thing. Could anyone please let me know, will I just have to fill in the ESA50 and send supporting documentation? Will I treat the reassessment as if it was a new claim? Or is ESA treated totally different under Universal Credit.

Thank you

Unless there are other reasons for you to claim UC, for example a new claim for Housing Benefit then your ESA will not be moved to UC for at least two years and possibly longer, at this time we do not have any information about how this may be done.
