Mobility Section questions at PIP Face to Face

Hi,
I am confused how to answer the how far can you walk questions when it comes to the face to face assessment as I have a fluctuating condition, so it varies.
Is it enough to say it varies ie need taxis some days due to very low energy levels, others I can do short walks)
Or, should I explain how it affects me if do say walk more than 50 mtrs but less than 200?
(By the way I'm guessing if I say I can walk more than 200 mtrs (but will pay for it in post exertional malaise at least 2-3 days afterwards) I will score zero points?
Hope that all makes sense.

There are two issues you need to address if your conditions are variable, how are you effected as they vary and how long are you effected at each level of disability.

So for walking what distances are you limited to, say when you are at your worst, on average and at your best, and how many days are you effected in each of these ways. Those assessing you will be looking at how you are on the majority of days.

There is a section that covers fluctuating conditions in the PIP Claim guide

Thanks again Gordon for your help.

Out of interest, if you can walk more than 200 mtrs , but not repeatedly, every day and the exertion affects you for 2-3 days later-would you still score points for that? (or not, as in the points section it says zero points for being able to walk 200mtrs?).

I would be surprised if you would score although it's not 100%, you need to look at "reliably" and the Descriptors for the Moving Around activity.
