ESA and ppi payout was created by Lollipop1234

I am currently on ESA and have had a payout of £1250. Do I have to declare this to the DWP? Has anyone any experience of this?

If you are in receipt of only Contribution Based ESA then there is no limit on your savings and assets and you do not need to notify the DWP.

If you receive Income Related ESA in part or in whole and your savings and assets with the payout do not exceed £6000 then you do not need to inform the DWP.

If you receive Income Related ESA in part or in whole and your savings and assets with the payout exceed £6000 then you need to inform the DWP. See
