PLP tribunal case was created by jayjay1963
Hi all.
I just wanted to say that my husband had to claim the new PLP (was on full DLA,) and when he had his interview it was just after Christmas like the 28th or so. we had been told it would last maybe an hour we where there on time (shame the person doing it wasn't!) he came in moaning about being late the office was freezing cold, and on top of that all the computers where down, more moaning...then he said they would have to do it the old way by hand on paper, the interviewer asked my husband 3 questions wrote one line on the paper, and we where told to go! needless to say he lost his fight for the new PLP and so we are really lucky that we have a social worker that deals with our care at home, she wrote a letter to which we where told when the DWP read it that he still wouldn't get the benefit , we then went to court for it, (although we didn't go in person as to ill) and hooray they gave him the benefit and at the highest rate of both, and then gave it to him til 2027!! Really I thank god we had so many professionals behind us really or he would never have had this benefit again, sadly i have still to do mine so lord knows what will happen with that...these people should be looked at and told, he could no way have known anything about him just by asking 3 questions and then really writing a totally false claim for my husband.
We went through so much stress with it all, but i would say to anyone if they are getting the old DLA then to fight for the new PLP as I'm sad to say none of them have a clue what they are doing just proves the case in this case alone!
