PIP Re-Assessment Query on Driving was created by Mimi59
Hi all, my husband has just had his re-assessment form for PIP. He had his licence revoked a few years ago due to meds, but is now driving again. He suffers from Parkinsons, but is able to drive OK at the moment. When he got his initial form, he was using buses, so I'm wondering if he's obliged to let them know he's driving now, or if he can just tick "No change", as he does still need help from me in unfamiliar surroundings when he's in the car.

PIP does not consider whether the claimant can drive or not, so I see no need to mention this on the form unless it is connected to a change in his conditions that would effect the award that he currently receives.

Thank you Gordon. I was a little concerned that if, he drives to a medical assessment (I cannot drive), he may be penalised for it in some way by not letting them know, but we'll omit it from the form.
