Tribunal Success and RAF Benevolent Fund was created by Robert Park
After the usual DLA to PIP routine I finally had my tribunal on the 15th December (a 7 month wait). I was initially given 6 points for daily needs and 0 for mobility (DLA was only enhanced mobility).
The tribunal awarded 10 points and 12 points respectively, so I am now a very happy man.
I am not going over all the ins and outs of the tribunal as all I did was answer questions honestly. There was one question from the doctor which was asked almost as an aside since he had said that he was finished with the questions.
This question was probably the most important one and was asked at a particular time when "my guard was down", I answered the question as I had the others, since I had nothing to hide.
I am not going to say what the question was, please believe me it is not a trick question nor is it an unfair question, but I hope it does catch some out, as they will be the ones who have been cheating the system in the past.
Like I say, the question is fair and any genuine person will have no problems answering.
I would also like to say a big thank you to the RAF Benevolent Fund for their invaluable advocacy service, any ex service personell facing a tribunal should make use of their respective Benevolent Fund or equivalent as their free help and advice, I could not have won without them. The help they give in just simplifying the whole process meant that I was able to have the tribunal and receive a decision in around 40 mins.
Finally, don't give up and keep going with those appeals.
