Contributory ESA support group review

I have been in the ESA support group (contributory) for approximately 18 months for mental health and physical problems. I have received a new Capability for Work questionnaire from the Health Assessment Advisory Service to be returned by January 8th. My conditions haven't changed since my original claim and medical assessment. I'm wondering if its best to just complete the new forms the same as the original and send the same evidence although this is over a year old (supporting letter from GP and other health professional). I don't have any new evidence and am unable to get a drs appointment with the GP who helped me before the return date. Wondering the best way to approach this? I don't have a copy of the medical assessors report so don't know exactly why I was put in the support group.

Also, If I am turned down for ESA would I be entitled to cont. based JSA? My partner works so I'm not eligible for income based benefits?

In principle you can do this, but it depends on how you qualified for the SG the last time you were assessed, there have been changes to the DWP guidance in the last year or so that may impact on you qualifying again and may necessitate you answering in different terms on the form.

I would recommend that you go back over your form with the current ESA Claim guides to make sure that what you wrote last time is still applicable before copying the information to your ESA50. The guides are on the following link

To receive Contribution Based JSA you will need to have worked for at least 26 weeks in one of the following Tax Years 2015-16 or 2016-17.
