PIP claim from DLA was created by flo1
Hello, hope you can help please.

In a real state. Currently waiting for result of my ESA renewal claim, sent paperwork back about 8 weeks ago. Then came the PIP form. My daughter phoned so we did the first procedure, the form was received - the date on the covering letter was 2 weeks earlier than when the forms were received, giving me only 2 weeks and 4 days to complete it all. My daughter rang and explained and they immediately said, 'no problem' you have until the 5th Jan to send them back. So, yes we've been given 2 extra weeks but we only got them because of their mistake.

So now I see that DLA hasn't been paid into my account. It's never been late before and I feel they are deliberately trying to make things difficult for me. My daughter said to wait another day and see if it's paid in late but why would this happen now?

If your original return date was 22 December then there is no reason for your DLA not to have been paid.

The DWP usually pay a day in advance of the actual payment date so it is possible that it has been delayed and will still be paid as required, however, I would not wait due to the proximity to Xmas and would call them today to make sue that there are no problems.

Thank you Gordon. It was my mistake, I got the dates wrong (I'm all over the place), sorry, and thanks again.

Bless you all for such needed help.

Glad to hear it was sorted, the last thing you need is a problem with your payments just before Xmas.
