Yes we put down why using aids wouldn't help, looking at what she put for the food side, I can't chop or peel vegetables but I can use a microwave, we explained to her that no aids can help and even putting food into the microwave is dangerous because the elbow injury has aggravated the ulnar nerve so gripping is non existence and I am at danger of dropping hot food. She asked what the term for my elbow is so we showed her a medical report for the term and she wrote slight swelling and again explained if I use my right arm the body repairs the break and keeps doing that, I am not allowed to use it, she also said I broke my left elbow but that is the very weak side. Honestly we put why I can't use arm and backed up there is no aid to help and we told her what would happen, and put that in the question form, basically if I use arm I will loose it. Even social services are involved and look after my hubby as he is my full time carer and works full time.

I have called DWP as last Thursday I finally received an extra report which I requested on 1st November. I got passed to a case manager because I lost it on the phone to them, not angry at them but I just burst into tears, I had the option of getting reviewed again, but the case worker said it looked like I will get enhanced and she said I should leave it at that, which I agree, I am just angry that she did not listen to me or my hubby, he is angry because we covered everything and thought about what they could throw at us regarding using such aids. The case manager said they wouldn't look at medical evidence to which I said that was unfare and explained to her it lists what I cannot do and also what would happen. She did say she will make a note asking them to review the medical evidence which hopefully they now have. I could understand them changing things if we wasn't persistent on my complex problems, but she just put I claim not to do this that or the other but I am saying she can.

The case manager was ok with me, and I am hoping she understood everything I was saying but until I get the answer I am not going to get upset, if I get enhanced when the review comes round I shall say things are worse and try again to get them to have the right information about me.

Just an update, I called DWP yesterday to see if there was any updates, DWP did say to me I can ring weekly, and I as told a letter was sent out to me on 15th January, I asked for them to read the letter out, and yes I got enhanced for both, it was the second best news within a week, I don't know what points I was merited or for how long, so I have gone from low rate care on DLA to high rate care on PIP and high rate mobility on DLA to high rate mobility on PIP. Thanks the support and guides and the eye opening forums it got me through. I will update when I get the letter with the points scored and for how long. Oh the other good bit of news I had, I have been fighting to get the correct footwear I need through the NHS and for the last 10 years I have been given the cheaper splint options which I cannot wear, last Thursday I finally got told I am getting Peidro boots, up until a few years ago I believe only kids could get them but now they do adults, these are a bit more fashionable so I am getting what looks like a pair of baseball boots, so I will finally get a bit of support that I need, it is only to stop my foot becoming more deformed, it won't change my mobility.
