Paper Assessment was created by kah22
My friend is due to post her PIP form next week. By coincidence she has an appointment with her consultant on Monday afternoon

Her condition is bipolar and she is really not able to cope with the pressure. She has asked me to go with her to see the consultant and describe how she is at the moment and ask him if he will write a letter requesting a paper assessment

Her consultant, as has her GP, already written a letter of support but I would like to see her get a paper based review., I don’t think she could handle a face to face and I do appreciate it is not normal practise. However, anything is worth a try and I’m going to ask her consultant to write a letter recommending a paper based assessment

Capita will be carrying out the assessment. Is there anything in particular that, if he is willing, I could ask the doctor to include that would up the chances of a pauper assessment?

For a Paper Based Review to be done there needs to be (a) sufficient information for the assessor to make a recommendation to the DWP and (b), a clear statement of the risk of injury, either physical or mental to claimant if they were required to attend at the Assessment Providers offices.

I can't tell you specifically what they need to write but it must be unambiguous, any suggestion that they might have difficulties attending or that their conditions could worsen will not be helpful.
