Hi, would my wife be able to claim JSA as a couple whilst I wait for ESA MR or would this have unwanted consequences. My reassessment is at the end of the month and even though I have plenty of medical evidence I'm still worried. I have incontinence due to IBS and complications with severe diverticular disease (DD) and a newly discovered stricture which is still under investigation. My original claim was for anxiety and depression although IBS and DD were mentioned.

Thanks in advance

I can't see any particular reason why she can't although as she will be claiming as a couple you will also be required to seek work!

Have a good look at the ESA Claim guides in regard the Incontinence Descriptors they are some of the most complicated and difficult to meet of all the ESA Descriptors.
