PLEASE can anyone give me any more information on what to expect from a face to face assessment? I have read this

but is there anything else.
I am an in a complete mess. I asked on the form if I could have a home visit, and all the way through the form it states how bad I am in strange places and meeting new people. An example of which I put in the form was in 2016 when I pushed myself to go out somewhere in a public place with a lot of strange people led to me having a psychotic episode, suicidal and other the crisis team for months! I know I could get my husband to ring and ask for a home visit but I am scared they will then put it back even further. My appointment is on Thursday 11th. Sorry for the long post. I have been up all night and feel completely frantic.

To be honest there is little more to the assessment than what is described in the PIP Claim guide. Be aware that the assessment effectively starts from when you leave your home as there will be questions and assumptions made on how you get to the assessment centre.

Depending on your conditions there may be a short physical examination, simple limb movements and grip tests, you should try and complete it if you can but if it would cause you unreasonable pain or distress then you can refuse, just explain why you are doing so.

You mention a home assessment, there is still time to see if you can get one of these but you will need your GP to explain unambiguously why you cannot attend at the Assessment Provider's offices.

Best of luck
