can i ask the tribunal for the assessor to attend to explain the false statements he has made,
do the assessors ever attend the tribunal and can the court demand it .

In principle yes, in reality they are very unlikely to ask the assessor to be present.

Although the Tribunal Service are part of the HM Courts and Tribunals this is not a trial as you might expect in a Civil or Criminal case, you are not mounting a defence but rather are trying to show that you meet the criteria for an award.

Issues with the assessment and the report are important but are very unlikely, on their own, to result in an award. Also, Tribunal panels are quite used to dealing with problems with the report, so it may not be the issue that you perceive.
