Thanks for your answer Gordon, I was thinking that. I would like to have time to prepare for a MR is I need to. As they say forewarned is forearmed, so would be nice to get a copy of the assessment.

I think I may need to get my MP in on the act.

I got the copy of my assessment this morning, and the good news I have been cured. My angina has gone and the injuries to my head no longer cause any problems with memory. As I can drive I do not need a car and I also declined to do activities I was not asked to do. I was not asked or seen to walk but apparently I am now able to do so as well as I did 25 years ago when I got my DLA.

Now comes the long task of transcribing the assessment recording. It is nice to know I am now cured but not so good to know I will be stuck indoors most of the time.

I haven't totted up the points, but it would seem I will have both parts reduced by one level. So low care to no care and High Mobility to standard Mobility. I know there will be a pay-out from Motability, but at most that will buy and run a car for a year :(

Not sure how the MR works, I know one has a month to submit it, but do you need to send all the evidence in at the same time. Or do you have time to get you case prepared after you have informed them you wish for a MR.

There is one plus though, no more problems worrying about parking.

Bruce

You can follow either option, send all of your information with your MR request, or send the MR request , stating that you will be send more information within 28 days.

Just make sure you send the information well within the 28 days as you need to allow for postage.

There is a template MR request in the Submissions PDF in the PIP area.

Thanks Gordon.

I've not got my decision yet, I am only going on the Atos minion's report. While she acknowledges that i have angina and other problems she dismisses their relevance, makes some assumptions, and shock horror tells some untruths. Apparently at 19 stone I am average build, and have declined to do activities I was not asked to do. Which incidentally she stated I would not be asked to do. She also came to the conclusion despite not seeing me (or asking me to) walk, I would be able to walk for one minute and cover 50m! My wife measured how far I could walk in a minute and it was barely 20m. there is a lot more that i have issues with. I know that I have not had the decision but if the DM goes on her report and does not look at the evidence I will probably lose out.

I'll check out the letter.

Before the assessor came i was recording something on my laptop, and when she came, I put the laptop lid down, thinking the recording would stop. The mic is on the top of the screen and that goes out when the lid is shut. After she went I played the recording I had made before she came. Imagine my surprise when I found the whole assessment was on there. I am transcribing it (it's taking ages). And once that is done I'll start writing the letter for my MR. I am presuming the decision maker will also disregard the medical evidence and just go on the assumptions made by the assessor. Can the MR letter be too long, because there is an awful lot I need to say in it?
