Evidence supply marked Confidential? was created by BPWagstaff
Can I ask whether the information written in the members guide information, PiP assessment guide part 1- page 17 - numbered 1.4.13 Confidential information as below, means that I am unable to use supporting documents Marked “Confidential or “in Confidence?

Confidential information

"Any written information that is marked by a claimant or a third party as “confidential” or “in confidence” cannot be used in a claim for PIP as it cannot be further disclosed to a DWP CM."

I hope you can help as I am trying to complete the PIP form for the person I care for but have copied letters that have the above “confidential” or “in confidence” on them but not sure if they will be accepted after reading the above info.

I need to know as trying to gather supporting evidence for the person I care for.

If the letters were written to you then you can provide a covering letter providing consent for them to be made available to the DWP.

Also, your form is returned to the DWP and scanned by them, so they will actually have a copy of the letters, the assessor should not have to include them,

Hello Gordon and thanks for your help,

Most documents/ letters in support of the claim from dla to pip have "Confidential or in Confidence" . My question is, the dwp ask for supporting evidence, so can they/will they reject it .
I did write via email to benefits and work but not sure of the correct email address.
Just tired and trying to do the right thing as we all are.

Thankyou
Karen (Carer)

They could be rejected that's why I recommend the letter authorising use.

Hi guys I had raised this with Regarding this?

Confidential" or "In Confidence". Vs whom it may concern, I have medical paperwork stating these words below, I need clarification on this please.

Private and confidential
To whom it may concern.

Looking through this ESA guide surrounding this above on any medidal letters that they can't be past on to a CM or DM at the DWP? Could you confirm this or should I get reports just stating To whom it may concern.

This below is the bit I find confusing below. It mentions nothing about To whole it may concern?

I get where Gordon is going with this and he replied to me i while ago about this. Thanks.

But to be on the safe side I've decided to get my medics to remove those phrases, and just get To Whom It May Concern only.

As far as I was concerned I or when we send them a letter it should be free for them to use instead as I had already given them the right as they are about me.

I was formely known as (GoingOffMyHeadWithThisGovernment) Won PIP November 2017 ongoing award HR both. Now kept and got my ESA Support group but took a while.

Thanks for the replies.
When I looked at the members guide on filling in the pip 2 form it says to supply all relevant supporting evidence, it says nowhere that you should havè to worry that "Confidential' or "in Confidence" letters you all ready have can be rejected.
I will try to contact the dwp or a welfare rights organization to get a definative answer?
