I am receiving ESA contribution based and after a medical last year I have been placed in the support group and was told I will be re-assessed in 3yrs. I am also getting PIP. I have recently been medically retired due to ill health and I am not working in any capacity. I receive my occupational pension which I have informed the necessary authorities of and my ESA payment was adjusted accordingly.
I have now received a letter “inviting” me for an interview with a compliance officer at the local job centre to discuss some “changes that might affect my benefits “ and I think it’s ssys “review” of benefits?
Has anyone else has anything similar? I have MS, it’s not going away and I’m not getting any better, I’ve told them about my income which only consists of my pension (I understand savings aren’t an issue with contribution based ESA) but I can’t help feeling I’m in some sort of trouble, the letter is very abrupt saying I must attend or payments will stop immediately!

As SG claimants are not required to attend at their local JC+ the DWP have been finding inventive ways to get around this. See
