Confused? Letter to see a work coach was created by madmog
I am in receipt of PIP for mental health issues, my husband works but in receipt of Carers allowance and Income support ( he is my carer)
We both got letters today from local job centre saying that I have got to go and have an interview with a work coach, and if I don’t go my husbands income support will stop.
Why is this? I don’t understand, I’m now in a state worrying about it.

I'm afraid these interviews are standard for an Income Support claim, you must attend or be excused from doing so, or your husbands IS can be suspended.

In practice you'll turn up, they'll ask if they can provide any assistance to help you work, you'll say no and that will be it! The appointments are usually every three years.

If you would have problems attending then contact the advisor which should have been detailed on the letter and ask for phone interview.

Thankyou for your reply, I just don’t know why I’m the one that has to go for the interview, my husband and I thought ( going by what info there is online) that it would be him having to attend?
He had an interview when he first applied, which was 6 months ago, I’m not on any other work related benefit, only receive PIP

I'm afraid the law requires the claimants partner to attend these interview of a regular basis.
