PIP stopped!! was created by angie2
For past 4 years, received lower rate pip both categories. Moved to southwark london from portsmouth 6 months ago. I am in early addiction recovery. Have both mental and physical health issues, including loss of feeling from knees down, and falls plus plus due to Diabetes. causing increased mobility problems. And been very depressed and suicidal before Assessment.
After face to face assessment medical by paramedic, had both stopped 15 dec i was informed 2nd january. I have requested statutory reconsideration, and am preparing written info. What shocks me, and troubles me is Medical profs report has a full page on physical exam, which just isn't true. I had to leave the assessment to vomit, no mention.

I feel totally beaten, am in supported accommodation, and whilst I have a keyworker, his attitude is he knows everything been doing it for 10yrs, But things have changed. I am scared to challenge him the roof over my head depends on him!

I am 59yrs old have worked all my life till 4 and half years ago. I just feel unable to cope, and really all I have written has been clearly disbelieved, I got Nil points for every single section of PIP. I am distraught and need help please.

Whilst it is important to deal with issues in the assessment report but doing so is unlikely to lead to an award, you must first show that you meet the criteria for one.

I would start by going through your form, was it a PIP2 or an AR1 Review form, long or short (relatively)? The assessment report and our PIP Claim guide. You need to make sure that you have shown that you meet the Descriptors, many have multiple elements and you will only score by showing that you meet all of them.

The activities must be completed reliably and on the majority of days so make sure that you have included this into your answer wherever applicable.

When dealing with the report, stick to issues that directly relate to your scoring points. Avoid trivial matter such as spelling and grammar and wherever you can relate your comments back to the evidence you submitted.

It was a reward review form. Unfortunately my keyworker was on leave so someone I had never met before assisted me.
I stated that all but a few descriptors remained the same as my original claim and award.

Q7- I answered harder, and tried to explain in a seperate sheet, how things have become harder in my life!
Q9 - Again I explained how this had become harder for my daily life.
Q12- Moving around has become significantly harder and I explained this on a seperate sheet and provided neurologists letter, and key worker
Q12a - I explained my mobility had deteriorated due to reasons stated by neurologist, and my breathlessness. And also stated it varies and explained. And that mostly I can mobilise ok between 20-50 metres again explaining reasons why seperately.

All other questions and sections remained unchanged from 2016, and my original claim.

But at assessment I was awarded NO POINTS for anything at all.

Does one have to re-submit the old pip claim and evidence, and any new evidence?

The other difficulty is I moved from one area to another. Getting linked in and transferred over to all specialists, has taken time. And since october I have been extremely depressed, and was referred in Dec 2017 as I was suicidal. I am still waiting to be allocated a Mental health nurse, after seeing a health hub initially.

What have I done wrong, whats missing? what can I do now? Feeling desperate!

You should not need to re-submit the PIP2 and anything that was attached to it, this should be on your file despite your having moved. However, you do need to go back to basics as you have not scored and this could result from in your having to repeat content from the PIP2 and it would not hurt to re-submit the evidence.

Don't assume you have done anything wrong, a senior Tribunal judge recently commented on the number of appeals that they receive that are "no brainers" and should never have need to have been appealed.
