Good evening gordon; l hope you are well. Can you give me some advice please. I got the letter today for a home visit this friday. I requested my medlical records and luckily they were ready today. Now these in total are around 300 pages and mainly for depression and endometriosis going back 20 years. The front few pages are a list of conditions, past and current problems. I think it best that i post it to the desicion maker tommoroe. I dont know whether to send it all, just the first few pages or send significant pages only. Can you advise?

The other question is do i show the pip person all 300 pages even though she couldnt read them or just give her/him the front pages to read?. Kind regards

Sending 300 pages of medical records is not going to help your claim :(

You need to go through it and identify what pages support your claim and which are of no value or are simply repeats of others. The things to look for are letters following an appointment with a Consultant and ones that specifically refer to your limitations.

Once you have narrowed it down to a more manageable pile then consider giving a copy to the assessor.

As an example, when I went through my information I went from several hundred page to less than 10!

I will do as you advise. Just to say i got a home visit for mental health with only a letter from gp stating i can't work. The letter states: one of our professionals has looked at the informationyou sent the dwp; as well as any further information they asked for from the people involved in your care. After doing this we've decided that we need to see you at home to discuss your health condition or disability further. Is this just a paragraph from a standard home visit letter they send? Kind regards

Yes it's a standard letter, they are accepting that you would have difficulties attending at their offices.

Good evening gordon, Do you have any thoughts on whether it would be a good idea to highlight important refernces and evidence within the pages from my medical history; which i will be giving to the pip assessor coming to my home this friday. Kind regards

I would always recommend members to make it as easy as possible for those assessing them to access the key information in and with their forms. so yes highlighting the information is a good idea.
