Diane

Forgive me but I don't understand your question, ESA and PIP are separate benefits so I'm not sure what the "error" would be.

My fault. Not good at explaining things! Gary has been on ESA since, presumably, his Face to Face assessment, hence his being in the WRA group. The letter I referred to says that he will be moving onto PIP, not ESA. So, should he be receiving PIP benefits, rather than ESA ones? Hope that’s clearer? TY.

PIP and ESA are separate benefits. ESA is awarded if the claimant is unable to work due to illness or disability. PIP is awarded to help claimants with the extra costs or their disability or long term illness.

The letter you refer to is about his moving from DLA to PIP!
