Hi

I have read many instances of HCP reports not accurately reflecting the medical assessment.

Am I right in thinking that a HCP would know that their report is influential to the DM.

If both of the above are correct I consider this negligence and therefore a breach of the HCPC standards of ethics.

An accurate HCP medical report is essential. Do you think there is any benefit in encouraging people to report HCPs for poor medical reports. I wonder if HCPs might be encouraged to report accurately if they think inaccuracies/omissions etc would be reported to the HCPC

It's up to you whether you report them or not.

Understand that assessors are often stating opinions, whilst these may in fact be wrong you may struggle to show that this was in breach of their own ethics and responsibilities, not being very good at your job is not necessarily a reason to report them.
