Wondered if there is anything I should be doing in preparation for tribunal in few weeks? I have over 200 pages that have been sent to me. Will I be asked lots of questions and can a representative speak also, or just myself. As it gets closer I'm anxious and do not cope well with the unknown.

Have you sent a submission for the hearing?

If you haven't then it may now be to late, you could prepare a bullet list of points that you want to make, which you can tick off as the hearing proceeds and then cover any that have been missed at the end when you are asked to summarise your case.

What do you mean by "representative"? If this is someone attending with you who could give evidence in support of your claim, then yes they should be allowed to speak. If you mean a trained Welfare Worker, then to be honest you should be addressing these questions to them.

Thank you for your reply. Is a submission the same as list I've sent stating what I agree with and don't re: lack of points and what I believe I should have been awarded? I did send this in referencing the pages etc with help of a very kind lady from M.E. society. The same person will be there to support me. I guess I wondered if she would be asked for input on that part of my claim?

Yes this would be a submission and yes the person from the ME Society should also be asked for their input.

Hi, just returned from a very gruelling tribunal. It wasn't pleasant but necessary.
I've gone from no award to standard living with 11 points from just 4.
I expected nothing from the questioning and DWP questions.
Thank you for your help and I will be needing it again no doubt, as award until 2020.
