Government U turn

Regarding the government climb down on PIP mobility as I under stand it the Government changed the law on 16 March last year so that the words “For reasons other than psychological distress” were added to the start of descriptors c, d and f in relation to “Planning and following journeys”.

Now with the climb down does this mean that that phrase is now redundant and that those with a mental condition will have a better chance of obtaining the PIP mobility component. Or will the accessor still have to work by the legislation until such times as the government get around to changing them
