PIP 10 minute assessment by telephone

Dear Sir/Madam,
My invitation to PIP came before Christmas and needed to be at DWP by 11th January 2018.
On the 12th of January while I was hooked up on my home dialysis I received a phone call from a Lady saying that she was working on behalf of the DWP and would like to ask me some questions ?. There was me thinking, Oh, I must have not filled in the forms correctly ?? She asked if I could wash my face, if I could reach out in front of me and similar questions lasting approx 10 minutes. When I tried to explain about my bad knees and hips she cut me off saying she needed go. I am 68 years old and had a Motability car for 23 years along with middle rate DLA. My Wife said to me, I wonder if that was your assessment ?? so I rang the DWP and they said its too late to change your answers, but I said I am asking only about the phone call i received, to which she replied, Yes that was your assessment and we will send to a results letter in two weeks time. I can not sleep for worrying that I may have slipped up by being caught unaware by the Lady. Please can you tell me if this is normal to be contacted in this way ?????

Just rang DWP as you suggested and spoke to Graham, he told me all is going through ok and they are just setting up my Mobility, so fingers crossed. Can`t thank you enough for being there when I need help. Will let you know the results as soon as the letter arrives which he said will be very soon.

Well, my letter arrived this morning, I have been awarded Enhanced rate for care and Motability, which is a rise from DLA middle rate care and high rate Motability. I must say a Big Thankyou to yourself and benefitsandwork for all the help you and your members site have given me.
As for the points awarded from my 10 minute telephone assessment, I think they just pick the numbers from the sky !!! I was only awarded 2 points for being on home dialysis 4 times per day, taking up over 6 hours per day, every day plus all the rubbish removal, deliveries etc, and I was awarded the same 2 points for having trouble standing from the toilet ?? does not make any sense. I was not given any points for taking all my dialysis equipment out with me and needing someone to help me ??
I do intend remaining a member for the foreseeable future.
